My Story

Until I was six years old, my family lived in Jakarta, Indonesia; then we moved back to Canada.

Both places helped form my love of languages and cultures (meaning I can speak fluent English and French, with some broken Bahasa Indonesian—just enough to ask for more food).

So from the beginning, I learned how to stand in someone else’s shoes and ground myself between their world and my own. Different languages, different foods, different customs: they all still make me feel alive and excited to meet new people and learn about their lives.

Before becoming a ghostwriter, I spent five years as a French immersion teacher. I love teaching people how to access a whole new world through language and human connection—to conjure up the exact word that describes the feeling of landing your first client, the taste of a particularly rich victory, or the details of a vivid childhood memory.

With my students, I’d create everyday experiences to help uncover nuances and immerse them in French-Canadian culture, not just the language.

As a ghostwriter for Scribe Media, one of the leading hybrid publishers, I partnered with CEOs and top industry leaders to help them tell their stories in ways that transformed their readers’ lives.

Since 2008, I’ve written four of my own books, ghostwritten more than seventy books, and coached and mentored hundreds of authors.

At the most basic level, I work with thought leaders and industry experts who want to write a book. My gift is capturing their genius on the page, and my team and I understand exactly where they are in their writing process so we can bring out the best in them.

When we’re done, they have a professionally published book that opens new doors and elevates their business in even more ways than they hoped for.

But what also occurs is they step into their identity as an author.

It’s the most satisfying part of the whole process.

Happens. Every. Time.

My superpower is managing the emotions involved in this journey, but never at the expense of finishing your book.

I coach and mentor you to tell your authentic story—the one you’ve been too afraid to share. I support you through the pivotal moments when you’re unsure about how much to reveal to your reader. Sometimes, a project turns into a different book than the one you thought we’d write together.

No matter what, you’ll feel like an author by the time you’re holding your book in your hot little hands, feeling awed by the cover—because you will be an author.
