I had the pleasure of hearing a friend of mine, Daniel Gutierrez speak at a business conference over the weekend. Daniel is a speaker and International Business Consultant with a big heart and a big personality. And he really gets what it takes to be successful, not only in business, but in everything he does.
Daniel was asked about his recipe for success and one of the things he answered was that he starts his work day off every morning by eating a frog.
His ‘frog’ is whatever difficult, challenging task he has to take care of in his business that day.
“Once that is done, the rest of your day is going to be easy,” Daniel says.
The same goes for your writing.
If you’re struggling with this 30-Day Writing Challenge and you are leaving your 21 minutes until the end of the day… and then not doing it, why not try writing frist thing in the morning?
If your writing is turning into something that’s hanging over you, then DO IT RIGHT AWAY. Get it over and done with and clear your energy up for the rest of the day.
Please share your “frogs” with me.

Wonderful site you have here but I was wanting
to know if you knew of any discussion boards that cover the same topics discussed in this article?
I’d really like to be a part of online community where I can get suggestions from other experienced individuals that share the same interest. If you have any recommendations, please let me know. Thanks a lot!
Thanks for sharing all of the great info Karen. Your little push each day also helps. It is actually starting to become a better pattern for me and I am getting close to finsihing my first draft. Overcoming perfectionism means my first draft is more like a polished second draft that needs some work. Dealing with it.thanks Karen.
Mandy,
I am so glad to hear this. THe 30-Day Challenge was created specifically to help create positive daily writing habits, so I am glad you are finding it helpful!
Ok now that I am doing all this writing I need to pull it together to
share the story. Need lesson on pulling it together.
Thanks.
Works for me. Which reminds me, I am going back to writing, before I check my emails.
It’s 6:30 am and I would be done by 7:00 but it’s usually ends at 9:00 am. Always feels great.

So glad to hear it. I love knowing that you are getting your writing done first and foremost.
